COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANTS

Housing and Urban Development Community Development Block Grants (HUD CDBG) funds are made available to the state of New Mexico each year. Communities may apply to the Local Government Division for use of those funds based on the following general guidelines.

Eligible Applicants: Counties and incorporated municipalities, except the cities of Albuquerque, Las Cruces and Santa Fe.

Eligible Activities: Community infrastructure, housing, public service capital outlay, economic development, emergency issues, aid to colonias and planning.

Application Timetable: Applications are due November 6, 2002. The community Development Council meets in January to allocate funds.
