CLEARINGHOUSE REVIEW

NCNMEDD, consistent with the State's policy regarding the New Mexico Intergovernmental Review and Coordination (NMIRC) process, will review and comment on applications for state or federal funding.

Currently, the District receives applications for some USDA Rural Development and for Economic Development Administration funding assistance. EDA requires that NCNMEDD comment on proposals submitted from the seven counties, so communities are asked to submit copies of their preapplications to the District.

The review and comment process on proposed applications for financial assistance or direct federal development provides an opportunity to identify and resolve any potential issues or problems as well as providing a mechanism for dissemination of information on a proposed project.
