Planning and Technical Assistance

NCNMEDD understands that many communities in the region have limited stafff for planning and program development. we want to help our communities use their resources to the best advantage and to dfind additional funds, wherever possible. For that reason, NCNMEDD offers our members assistance in a variety of research, planning, and prgram implementation activities, within the limits of our own resources.

NCNMEDD offers a variety of services to communities in need of assistance with planning, particularly in the development of applications for grants and projects. Within the limits of our own resources, those services include:

* Assistance in evaluating community needs and resources

* Assistance in setting community prioroties

* Assistance in locating resources

* Assistance in preparing grant applications

* Project administration, where applicable

Because the District staff is limited, we ask communities to contact us well in advance of anticipated deadlines and to understand that we can supplement but not replace their own staff or volunteer resources.

We are always interested in meeting our members needs and look forward to developing new services as new needs emerge. Currently, we haev special expertise in the areas listed in the menu on the left. For more information contact any member of the planning department or email .
