State of New Mexico Capital Outlay

Capital outlay funds are used to build, improve or equip physical property which will be used by the public.  This can include roads, schools, irrigation ditches, hospitals, museums, playgrounds, land, computers and furniture.  Capital outlay is authorized by the Legislature and generally nonrecurring.  Because of provisions in the New Mexico Constitution, capital outlay can only be used for government-owned facilities.
