Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy
The North Central NM Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS) is a community-driven blueprint for growing the regional economy. EDA uses the CEDS to guide their strategic investments in our region. North Central uses the CEDS planning process to coordinate and align our program of work with local, regional and statewide economic development plans and partners including:

EDA Grant Programs
North Central is a strategic partner of the U.S. Economic Development Administration (EDA). Staff is available to help you apply for and administer EDA grants. Get in touch if you think you have a project that's eligible for EDA funding.

$550,000 to the Jicarilla Apache Nation, for oil and gas assets acquisition study
$300,000 EDA investment to ICAST for green jobs training
Revolving Loan Fund
The NCNMEDD Revolving Loan Fund partners with Northern New Mexico banks to provide participation loans that fill financial gaps for businesses located in the counties of Colfax, Los Alamos, Mora, Rio Arriba, San Miguel, Santa Fe, and Taos.
During the life of the Fund, NCNMEDD has lent almost $3.5 million to 49 firms on projects that generated $15 million of business development activity and over 1,000 jobs created and retained in the region.
VISTA Volunteer Program
VISTA Volunteers working with ten Northern New Mexico community development organizations
are making a difference. The volunteers are
advancing community-driven projects to alleviate hunger, create businesses and jobs, increase volunteer support for community improvement activities, and connect at-risk youth with educational and employment opportunities.
