The ROC Program empowers communities by transforming underused housing into vibrant, quality homes. Through collaborative partnerships with service providers, ROC projects preserve existing housing stock, improve neighborhood conditions, and support economic revitalization.
About the ROC Program
Restoring Our Communities (ROC) is a comprehensive housing initiative aimed at revitalizing neighborhoods by reducing vacant and abandoned homes and creating affordable homeownership opportunities across New Mexico. Through the acquisition, rehabilitation, and resale of single-family homes, ROC helps strengthen communities while preserving existing housing stock.
A key goal of the ROC Program is to refurbish these homes and create housing opportunities for the people who serve and sustain our communities—including teachers, nurses, and individuals and families in need of affordable housing. By prioritizing resale to income-eligible buyers who live and work locally, ROC ensures that reinvestment stays within the community and supports long-term neighborhood stability.
Through strong partnerships with service providers, ROC projects improve housing conditions, reduce blight, and help create safe, quality homes that contribute to healthier, more resilient communities.
